Let your creative ideas soar with financial support from your local board for your next vocational training, tertiary education, event or art project.
To help young people thrive and prosper, Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board is encouraging tamariki to apply for its Youth Scholarship for personal development that can help them advance in their career.
The grant is aimed at helping people aged between 14-24 years old with learning and development opportunities to build their leadership in the community.
Grants of up to $2000 are being given for various types of youth-led initiatives and projects including arts, community, environment, events, heritage, and sports and recreation.
If your project aligns with Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Youth Scholarships outcomes and funding priorities 2018/2019, then you can apply.
This grant is for developing your own social enterprise project, or undertaking workshops on social innovation, training in peer mentoring with the chance to put your skills into practice through a series of youth engagement events, or delivering a programme in response to community interest and need.
