For the first time, Albany Community Hub comes alive with a programme of music, outdoor activities, games, craft, food and more for their first Family Fun Day on Sunday 19 May.
The Family Fun Day provides an opportunity for families to actively engage with their kids and other people in their community.
As the DJ spins some great tunes and food trucks roll up with their tasty treats, the day promises to be the perfect outdoor family event.
Youngsters can burn off some energy on the outdoor activities including all the usual favourites such as a giant bouncy castle, bungee trampoline, wall climbs, giant football target and zorb ball.
The arts and crafty ones can get a little messy with some face painting and get creative with balloon making sessions.
Auckland Transport has also kindly provided free bikes so everyone can have a go on the track.
But wait … there’s more - pop-up games and a safe play space for the under 5s round off a fantastic assortment of family fun activities.
Upper Harbour Local Board are proud to support the Family Fun Day.
"We're pleased to provide parents and their children a fun day out to engage with one another, and hope they form positive and lasting bonds with what is their community hub," says board chair Margaret Miles.
Jamie Adkins, Programme Coordinator at the Albany Community Hub agrees and adds, “The Family Fun Day is all about our local community coming out and having a great time with family, friends and neighbours together."
Albany Community Hub opened its doors in 2017 and has been a favourite with community hirers since.
