Families in Albert-Eden can now enjoy a new playground after the recently completed renewal at the Bannerman Reserve.
Albert-Eden Local Board funded the renewal. The playground now has new play equipment like a brand-new play module, see-saw and spinner.
“The playground caters more for the junior age range which the equipment reflects,” says Kayleigh Hibberd, Senior Project Manager at Auckland Council.
The total cost of the playground renewal was approximately $42,000.
Albert-Eden Local Board works with Auckland Council to enhance and develop local parks and open spaces. With the population of the local area set to increase in the future, this is a key element of the local board’s objectives and priorities.
The playground is fully compliant to the NZ playground safety standards and now open to the public.
