Albert-Eden Local Board allocates more than 300,000 in grant funding

Through its local grants, quick response grants, multi-board grants and the Accommodation Support Fund, Albert-Eden Local Board made a total of $306,108.18 available to local organisations in funding over the last 12 months.

A total of 173 groups applied for funding through the grants programme.

The funding helps local groups and organisations in their events and activities and included help towards the cost of venue hire for the NZ Eid Day 2019 - Eid-ul-Fitr in June 2019, New Zealand Eid Day Trust, Counselling the Victims of Family Violence, the Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust and the Mt Eden Chamber Music Festival and Eden Arts Trust, to name a few.

“Activities by organisations need to align with the work and priorities of the local board,” says Moumita Dutta, Senior Grants Advisor, Auckland Council.
