The role of Chair for Albert-Eden Local Board will change on 22 May 2021, as per the all-board agreement made at the start of the current term.

From Saturday 22 May 2021, Lee Corrick will assume duties at the Chair of the board and Margi Watson will be Deputy Chairperson.

“It has been my privilege to serve our communities as the Chair of the Albert-Eden Local Board,” says outgoing Chair Margi Watson.

"Over this duration we have achieved good outcomes for the area in spite of the challenges COVID-19 brought and I’m proud of the work we have done."

“I appreciate Lee’s contribution as Deputy Chair. We have worked well together to further the best interests of the community and I’m looking forward to supporting Lee in her new role and continuing to work with her as Deputy Chair. I wish her all the best as she takes over.”

It is not unusual for local boards to share roles throughout the three-year term. There are a total of 20 role changes at this halfway point across the 21 local boards as eleven boards decided to have split terms for chairs, deputy chairs or both.
