Mid-winter Christmas cheer was on show when just under $60,00 in grants were made to Franklin Local Board area community organisations.
The Pukekohe Business Association got more than $6,000 towards traffic management plans and to have St John Ambulance staff on hand at the next Pukekohe Christmas Parade, while the Lions’ Christmas Grotto fundraising event at Pukekohe Town Hall in November was also supported.
The board was able to allocate significantly more than first budgeted because money that was not spent in the financial year because of Covid restrictions, was reallocated to the fund.
