Whau residents are invited to have their say on an upgrade to Mānu playground at Maui Reserve in New Lynn.
The aim of the consusltation, which is open until 16 October is to get ideas for the installation of accessible, challenging and safe play equipment for children of all age groups.
Whau Local Board chair Kay Thomas says Mānu playground does need some love.
“As part of our network of play spaces, Mānu playground has been on our list for an update and we’re pleased that the renewal project is starting now.
“We look forward to receiving and reviewing feedback from our local residents. The playground has been serving our community for many years, and we do need more challenging equipment for older children, as well as additional equipment for balancing, spinning, jumping and creative play.
“The demand for accessible playgrounds has been growing strongly locally and we’re thrilled to be able to improve accessibility at this local park.”
