Henderson-Massey residents are invited to have their say on an upgrade to the Rānui Domain playground.
Consultation on the playground’s concept plan is open now and runs until 6 November.
The upgrade will consider connections between the playspace and carpark, provide shade provision and improved accessibility for all users.
Henderson-Massey Local Board member Dan Collins is pleased to see the upcoming update.
He says: “In November last year we asked the Rānui community what play experiences and activities they’d like to see at Rānui Domain. Thanks to our awesome Parks & Community Facilities Team, we now have a proposed concept plan and want to know what locals think of it.
“I’ve lived in Rānui for 15 years, I’m excited to see this much-needed upgrade happen and want to invite more locals to take part in the consultation—it’s our combined efforts which will make our neighbourhood a better place for us all.
“There is a growing demand for accessible playgrounds within the Henderson-Massey rohe. As a board we’re stoked to be able to deliver an asset that will become a destination for all of our Henderson-Massey whānau, here at Rānui Domain."
