With many of this year’s concerts being held beachside, gig-goers can check out great live music with the sand between their toes.

Some of the most exciting beach-side gigs include supergroup Hedlok, compromised of Che Fu and King Kapisi, headlining at Mission Bay; Sola Rosa Sound System bringing the good vibes to Milford Beach; and New Zealand rock and roll royalty Ekko Park will get the crowd going at Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island.

Featuring a line-up of celebrated Stand Up Stand Out (SUSO) finalists, you can check out the talent and do your shop at the same time!

Elsewhere, the perennial favourite Opera in the Park returns with two concerts – partnering with NZ Opera. Bring your picnic rug and something warm to settle in for two hours of operatic sounds at St Heliers or Ambury Farm.

Jazz at the Rotunda makes a welcome return to the rotunda in Auckland Domain, featuring multi-talented musician Julien Dyne, supported by The Turing Project and Blue Honey.
