Carols, kai/food, santa, Christmas cheer, entertainment…Howick is ready to illuminate the town for its annual Stockade Hill Christmas Lights.
East Auckland residents are invited to enjoy some cheer and fellowship.
A beloved Christmas tradition on the Howick Local Board calendar, the event will be a joyous and unforgettable evening, and the board is hopeful that the turnout will be as joyful as the Christmas spirit.
Board chair Damian Light says, “This is always a fantastic event and we’re looking forward to kicking off the festive season with performances and the traditional tree lighting.”
Hosted at the iconic Stockade Hill, a significant historic site, the board funded event is free for the community.
Local schools and community groups will grace the stage with vibrant performances, bringing the spirit of the season to life.
Light adds, “This event is by the community for the community, and we’re looking forward to the East Auckland community coming together in support.”
Alongside a delightful array of local talent, kai will be available and coffee. Santa is spreading holiday magic once again, inviting children to join him on stage for a chance to flip the switch and light up the Christmas tree.
“The lighting of the tree signals the start of the festive season in Howick so come along and celebrate together,” explains Light.
