Do you and your whānau prefer to spin, swing or slide? Do your tamariki enjoy water play, sand play or climbing trees? Do you like walking, playing sports or picnicking?
This summer we’re asking islanders and visitors what they value most about parks and play spaces, as well as what they’d like to see more of on the motu. This will help us to know what the community wants when it comes time to carry out renewals at our parks and play spaces over the coming years.
“We’re exploring parks across Aotea and are keen to hear which play options matter most to you,” says Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board member Neil Sanderson.
“As an island with limited play destinations, it’s essential to hear from you. We want to ensure our future upgrades meet your needs and create enjoyable play spaces for everyone. Your feedback is crucial in shaping play spaces that reflect our island community.”
We’re focusing on the council owned parks in Motairehe, Claris, Medlands, Okiwi, Gooseberry Flat and Mulberry Grove.
