A three-week celebration of sustainable living gets underway from April 7, with a number of free and engaging events to attend.
Held at community venues and libraries, the event puts a spotlight on locals thinking about localised solutions and climate actions, with a range of different events to get attend.
The festival themes for this year are: eat, move, energy, grow, shop and talk.
The festival is partly funded by the Puketāpapa Local Board, and there are a number of free events to attend.
Chair Ella Kumar says the festival is a great way to learn more about sustainable practices.
“Understanding how to incorporate more sustainable methods into everyday life can be a daunting prospect, but the Albert-Eden & Puketāpapa Eco Festival provides a number of ways to get involved and understand some simple sustainable techniques.”
Some of the events at the festival include: kid's only markets, e-bike trials, chook chats, a vegan food truck night and more.
