A three-week celebration of sustainable living gets underway from April 5, with a number of free and engaging events to attend.
Held at community venues and libraries, the Albert-Eden & Puketāpapa Eco Festival is partly funded by the local board, and puts a spotlight on locals thinking about localised solutions and climate actions, with a range of different events to attend.
The festival themes for this year are: eat, move, energy, grow, shop and talk.
Chair Kendyl Smith says the festival is a great way to learn more about sustainable practices.
“We’re proud to support the Albert-Eden & Puketāpapa Eco Festival. The beauty of the festival is that there is something for everyone to check out, whether you’re an experienced sustainability eco-warrior or a novice wanting to dip your toes into sustainability.”
Some of the events at the festival include: kid's only markets, e-bike trials, chook chats, a vegan food truck night and more.
