Time is running out for Henderson-Massey performers, musicians, creatives, and artists to submit their funding requests for community projects taking place between October 2025 and June 2026.
Applications close 1 September 2025, with arts funding available, as well as arts broker support. The past applications have received funding ranging from $500 to $5,000.
Projects could involve craft, performance, visual arts, music, film, dance, kapa haka, spoken word, or digital arts—anything that has a creative spark—and could take place anywhere from the street to theatres, shopping centres or marae.
Creative Henderson-Massey Arts Broker, Renée Tanner, is excited to offer this opportunity to support local artists.
"Thanks to the support of Henderson-Massey Local Board, we’re able to offer this opportunity again to our local artists,” she says.
“Whether you’re an emerging talent or an experienced creator, the arts funding provides the resources and platform needed to elevate your projects and make an impact.
"This is about more than just funding; it’s about fostering creativity and empowering local artists to share their voices. We encourage anyone with a unique idea that engages and inspires the community to apply."
The Arts Broker will support successful applicants to develop and deliver their projects, including mentoring, creative business advice, budget writing, application writing, event management, design, marketing, as well as providing support to source additional funding for larger projects.
