About Ellen Melville Centre

Ellen Melville Centre is a community venue run by Auckland Council. It is a place where people can come together to meet, relax and connect in Auckland’s central city. Built in 1962, the centre has been renovated to restore its full beauty, including a public art mural by artist Lisa Reihana. This multi-use community hub is a welcoming space offering events, workshops, classes, exhibitions and helpful community services for everyone.

Venue hire

The venue has five spaces of varying sizes with kitchen facilities, an event space with a projector and screen available for hire, and free WiFi. This venue is available for hire from 5am to midnight, 7 days a week.
