About Grey Lynn Community Centre
Located at 510 Richmond Road, the Grey Lynn Community Centre (Te Whare Hapori o Grey Lynn) is a welcoming, inclusive hub in the heart of Grey Lynn. We provide spaces, programmes and services that bring people together — from children’s playgroups and creative workshops to community support and sustainability initiatives.
The Centre is home to services such as Plunket, the Citizens Advice Bureau, and community wellbeing projects like Cans for Kai and Give a Kid a Blanket. We also support environmental action with collection points for battery and soft plastics recycling.
Venue hire & spaces
Whether for meetings, workshops, fitness sessions, weddings or community celebrations, we have flexible, affordable spaces available via SpacetoCo.
Main Hall – Spacious, light-filled area accommodating up to around 150 people. Ideal for large gatherings, classes, or community events. Includes kitchen access if required.
Garden Room – Medium-sized, sun-lit room opening to the garden area. Perfect for birthdays, small celebrations, yoga, or community meetings.
Oval Room – A smaller, private meeting space for 15–20 people — great for workshops, discussions or counselling.
Balcony Room – Upstairs room with natural light and balcony access. Suited to creative sessions, board meetings, or training.
Kitchen Facilities – Fully equipped and available with most bookings.
Technology – All rooms include Wi-Fi and access to a 65″ interactive CommBox screen (for presentations, Teams, Zoom and HDMI use).
