About Te Pae o Kura (Kelston Community Centre)
Te Pae o Kura is a multi-functional complex set in park surroundings at the top of Waikumete Hill. It is suitable for a range of community activities and functions.The venue, previously known as Kelston Community Centre, was gifted the new name by Mana Whenua in 2019.
Venue hire
There are four spaces available to book. Tāmaki (Main hall) can accommodate up to 220 people. Hikurangi (Activity room 1) and Huia (Activity room 2) can accommodate up to 120 people, and the Waitematā (Committee room) is suitable for smaller groups with a capacity of up to 30 people. There are small kitchen facilities available as well as off-street parking. The centre can be booked from 5am to midnight, 7 days a week, including public holidays.
