Mt Albert is back in business

Published: 22 May 2018

Almost 400 people visited the newly refurbished Mt Albert town centre at its official opening on Saturday 19 May to enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and the unique character of one of Auckland's oldest suburbs.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Auckland Mayor Phil Goff attended the opening ceremony along with members of Albert-Eden Local Board.

The upgrade has been a priority project for Albert-Eden Local Board.

It is intended to revitalise the centre and boost local businesses.

The opening ceremony was followed by a variety of engaging activities throughout the centre...

... And along New North Road, organised by the Mt Albert Business Association.
