Young sporting talent is set to shine at the Albert-Eden Local Board Junior Sports Awards 2021.
“Our Awards recognize our young sporting talent in our community. It takes dedication, commitment and a lot of parental support to achieve in sport and we want to acknowledge our young people who show that discipline,” says Albert-Eden Local Board Chair Margi Watson.
People can nominate a junior sports start online. Nominations close 5pm, Friday 30 April 2021.
Albert-Eden Local Board has made significant investments to make sure local communities have good infrastructure and opportunities to enjoy sports without going far from home.
Recent investments by the local board have resulted in upgrades to facilities at Fowlds Park, Windmill Park and Phyllis Reserve. A range of sports is played out at these local gems – cricket, softball, tennis netball and football.
“We make sure our sporting infrastructure is well maintained so as many people as possible can enjoy sport while getting the physical, social and mental well-being benefits,” says Chair Watson.
Nominate a junior sports person, their team, the school team, their coach or referee now.
