This exhibition calls on artists to reflect on time periods where there were no photos.

The exhibition will show how these various artists depict their ancestors, how they connect to and honour them, and what they love about their cultural heritage.

This event is part of Africa Month 2024, a programme created to celebrate the African diaspora during the month of May in the lead up to 25th May. This date commemorates the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity in 1963. May 25th presents as an opportunity to reflect on the connecting elements of our African countries, tribes and communities. With this programme we also look to call in our diaspora communities to share in the celebration of our heritage cultures.

Proudly supported by Auckland Council and the city centre targeted rate.
