"What Matariki means to me." Te Kawerau ā Maki is proud to partner with kura (schools) of Hikurangi / West Auckland and Auckland Council Parks to celebrate Matariki through the creativity of our tamariki, all while enjoying our amazing parks.
Matariki is a time to gather with whānau and friends to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and plan for the future.
We invite you and your whānau to be inspired by the creations of our tamariki and to reflect on what Matariki means to you.
Toi ki te Paka Art in the Park runs throughout the Matariki Festival at three amazing park locations – make sure you visit them all!
