Discover the art of contemporary bone carving in this immersive tikanga-based workshop designed especially for teens.

Join us for a full day of creativity where students will learn to carve their own unique taonga from start to finish. Guided by expert carver Maha Tomo, we’ll explore various carving techniques, including wet and dry sanding, polishing, and using grinders and drills.

By the end of the workshop, we’ll have created our very own finished contemporary bone carving including traditional Polynesian lashing and binding techniques to complete our taonga.

Youth: 12 - 17
