Join us for an immersive workshop where we’ll explore the realms of imagination to create our very own imaginary felted friend!
Created by fashion designer and wool-activist Liz Mitchell, this whimsical youth workshop encourages exploration with structural form, texture, colour and detail while gaining an understanding of the felting process from beginning to end.
Along the way we’ll learn all about the qualities of natural New Zealand wool and how to needle felt it into a 3-dimensional likeness. To complete our companions, we’ll use hand-sewing techniques to add finishing touches and character details to bring our felted friends to life with personality and charm.
