Wagner’s opera Tristan und Isolde is one of the most influential works of art in history and right from its famous opening ‘Tristan chord’ it has moved audiences for generations. Ahead of Auckland Philharmonia’s Opera in Concert production of this epic opera, join Dr. David Chisholm, Head of the University of Auckland’s School of Music, for a fascinating free lecture.

This FREE event is part of Phil Opera Fest, a celebration of Auckland Philharmonia’s performance of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde.

Whether you’re a seasoned singer or a choral newbie, everyone is welcome at this fun and relaxed event!

Meet new friends and re-discover your love of opera by singing two dazzling choruses, led by a conductor and accompanied by a pianist and a super squad of pro Opera singers.
