Led by award-winning poets Ruby and Eric, and other stellar members of Te Kāhui, this fun one-day workshop is perfect for teens interested in poetry, short stories, spoken word, and more.

Explore the power of storytelling in a dynamic writing workshop designed just for rangatahi!

Drawing inspiration from different landscapes, prompts, exercises, and discussions; teens will have the opportunity to create and share their own stories in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you’re new to storytelling or coming back to pick up where you left off - everyone is welcome!

Facilitated by award winning poets Eric Soakai (2019 New Zealand National Slam Champion and 2021 University of Auckland Slam Champion) and Ruby Macomber (2022 Starling Residency recipient at the New Zealand Young Writers Festival) students will be expertly guided through a day of creative exploration and expression.

Join us for an unforgettable workshop to discover the power of your own voice and storytelling ability.
