In celebration of the Auckland Heritage festival 2024, Te Ahiwaru with support from the community parks team are hosting a guided hīkoi through the fascinating and unique Ōtuataua Stonefields Historic Reserve at Ihumātao in Māngere.
The reserve and surrounding area is an internationally significant cultural and natural heritage area, and is a taonga (treasure) for ahi kā (burning fires). An average level of fitness and mobility required.
