Monday 14th April, 2.00pm -3.00pm - Bead Lizards

Looking for a fun hands-on craft session?  Learn to make your very own bead lizards! Choose from a rainbow of colours and design a lizard that’s uniquely yours. Suitable age 8+

 

Tuesday 15th April, 10.00 – 11.00am - First Nations Paper Totem Pole Craft

Join us for a fun activity to celebrate World Art Day! You’ll be making your very own paper totem poles inspired by First Nations art. We can’t wait to see what you create! Suitable age 5+

 

Wednesday 16th April - 10.00 – 11.00am - ‘Magic Jack’ Book Launch and Storytime

‘Magic Jack’ The true-ish story of the Easter Bunny. Bring your family and friends along for this special book launch and Storytime, followed by Easter-themed craft activity. Meet and chat with the author Kirsty Roby and illustrator Tania Pauling. Books will be available for purchase and signing in the library.

 

Thursday 17th April, 2.00-3.30pm - Teen Painting Workshop

Teen painting workshop in the library. This is your chance to explore your creativity in a fun and relaxed environment! Our talented librarian will guide you step-by-step through the painting process.

Suitable age 13+

Tuesday 22nd April, Drop-in sessions between 10.00am – 1.00pm - VR Experience with the Arataki Team

Got some spare time between 10am-1pm? Why not give this unique experience a go! Walk among the forest giants in the library with VR technology. Join the team from Arataki Visitor Centre for a fun immersive virtual reality experience. Learn about Kauri die-back and the ecological and cultural significance of kauri.

Thursday 24th April - ANZAC Museum Viewing and Remembrance Craft

9.30-10am: Educational Museum Viewing

10-11am: Lantern Craft

Meet at the library for a rare opportunity to view the ANZAC educational museum at the RSA!

Afterwards, come back to the library to decorate a recycled jar with tissue paper poppies and doves to make a beautiful lantern.
