Design your own rod puppet creature using fabric and wooden dowels inspired by Sarah Cowie’s puppets, featured in her exhibition Circus of Ruminations.
Participants will be introduced to beginner-friendly hand-sewing techniques and simple rod-puppet construction and will use these techniques to create a puppet base with a provided pattern. Participants will then have the opportunity to decorate and personalise their puppet creatures.
This beginner-friendly adult workshop is great if you love working with fabric, creating fun characters, or if you have always been curious about experimenting with sewing and puppet-making.
