The Chun Fen is a meaningful time in Chinese culture. It marks a moment when:
- Day and night are perfectly balanced – symbolizing harmony and the balance of yin and yang
- Plants begin to grow rapidly – an important turning point for spring farming
- The weather becomes milder – the earth warms, and new life starts to flourish
To celebrate this vibrant and inspiring season, the Albany Chinese Association will put on a series of performances, including:
- Traditional Chinese folk dance
- Choir and solo performances
- Tai Chi demonstration
- Ensemble of traditional Chinese musical instruments
Before the ceremony, the Albany Chinese Association will invite performers, audiences, families, and friends from diverse ethnic communities to the event, sharing Chinese culture and food.
