Response 101 Tortor Dance Performance And Cultural Showcase

Experience the Tortor Dance Performance — a traditional Batak ceremonial dance accompanied by Gondang music, symbolising unity, gratitude, and intergenerational blessing. The Batak are an ethnic group originally from North Sumatra, Indonesia. Batak communities live around the beautiful Lake Toba.

Learn from our Cultural Showcase — a visual and interactive presentation introducing Batak customs, language, traditional attire (ulos), and symbolic rituals. Engage with us in our Community Engagement session — opportunities for you to learn basic Tortor movements, explore Batak musical instruments, and take part in dialogue about our cultural values and stories.
