In pre-1900 villages and urban communities, Aucklanders came together and cooked their bread and baked goods in large, wood-fired communal ovens. These were dome-shaped with a stone base, built using local stone or granite with a brick or clay interior.
In this one-hour workshop, the village bread oven will be fired up to make pizza. You'll make dough with chef Sach from Wedg Ave Woodfired, and hand-stretch it to create your own 12-inch pizza with toppings of your choice.
Savour the tasty aroma while watching your pizza cook, then find a picnic spot to enjoy it for lunch. Includes a full-size pizza per child/person.
For ages 5+.
