Eight exceptional volunteers from the Puketāpapa community have been honoured at the Puketāpapa Community Volunteer Awards 2015 ceremony.
The award winners were Bridgette Tuipulotu, Newman Tuamata, Arthur Heighton, Dinesh Tailor, Patricia Munroe, Akshita Patel, Vinod Kumar and Jashu Kumar.
They were selected from a broad range of community sectors including teaching, religion, arts, environment, sports, cultural and dance.
Puketāpapa Local Board acting chair Harry Doig says the local area relies on voluntary service and the awards provide an excellent way to acknowledge individual efforts.
