The most recent addition to the Hearts of the City series of art on walls around the city is the huge and stunning portrait, Elsie, created by Askew One.
The 18m-high wall where you’ll find the artwork is part of the Sky World complex, home to the IMAX cinema, and opposite Auckland Council’s service centre in the recently upgraded Bledisloe Lane.
Askew is well known for his works in Auckland and around the world; you may be familiar with his Tank Art Project on the silos next to Silo Park.
The work was supported by a contribution from the council’s place activation fund.
