More double decker buses are about to hit the roads, providing extra seats for commuters. The new buses will feature USB chargers and better climate control.
Routes 277 and 274
Twelve double deckers will be added for the 277 Waikowhai to the city return route and the 274 Three Kings to the city return route from Sunday 29 May. Three more will be added in mid June.
This will create 450 more seats for the peak morning and evening runs.
Route 881
At the end of June eight double deckers will join the 881 Albany to Newmarket route which travels via downtown and the university.
This will create an extra 150 seats at peak time and more seats at off-peak.
