Recognising environmental champions of the west

EcoMatters is looking to recognise the environmental volunteer heroes and heroines of the west.

If you know someone volunteering on an environment project in the Waitākere Ranges who deserves credit for their hard work, or a business putting in the hard yards to ‘do their bit’, here’s your chance to show your appreciation.

Nominations are open until 15 August for the 'Love Your Place' environmental awards.

This is the first time these awards have been run. They are funded by the Waitākere Ranges Local Board and organised and hosted by the EcoMatters Environment Trust.

While nominees may live anywhere in Auckland, nominated projects must be located within the Waitākere Ranges Local Board area to be eligible.

The awards celebration will be held on September 14, 2016.
