Auckland Mayor Len Brown has described the City Rail Link as a project that was symbolically vital in the unification and the changing of mind set of Auckland.
The government and Auckland Council finally signed the heads of agreement for the massive transport infrastructure on September.
In an interview with legendary broadcaster and communications consultant Ian Fraser, Len Brown says despite all of the political cheap shots over the years, the government and particularly the Prime Minister always understood the important of the project to Auckland and New Zealand.
