Playground review: A slam dunk

We’re taking a look at some of Auckland's best playgrounds. This week: Te Rangi Hiroa, corner of Birdwood and Glen Roads, Ranui.

What’s on offer?

Challenge yourself on the obstacle course or practice your b-ball skills by shooting some hoops at this must-see park.

Aimed at youth aged 12 or older, Te Rangi Hiroa Park features a multi-sport half and full court, a climbing wall, ropes course, whānau shelter, two barbecues, picnic tables, bike rack and more.

More to do

A large BMX pump track is also under construction, which once completed will be a great spot for kids and teens to take bikes.

There is car parking available for park users, so bring the family down for a fun day outdoors.
