You can now complete every step of the building and resource consenting process online: from lodging and paying for applications to uploading all supporting information, tracking progress and receiving your code compliance certificate.
There is also an online tool to help you work out if you need a consent and new tailored services will deliver the right level of support to suit the specific needs of each project.
This includes a new streamlined process to deliver straightforward consents for things like decks and garages within 10 working days.
Improvements to this service will continue to be rolled out over the next 12 months.
Auckland Council will be at the Auckland Home Show at Auckland Showgrounds on September 6 – 10 2017 to answer any building and renovating questions.
