New Auckland Council website live

Last Updated : 22 Aug 2017

If you visit the Auckland Council website today the homepage will look quite different. The website is now mobile friendly and easier to search and navigate. If you use assistive technologies like screen-reading or dictation software you will also have a much better experience.

We’ve updated these sections of the website with the remaining sections to launch in September.

The old Auckland Council website is still live for sections which are yet be updated.

You told us what you wanted

We talked with 2,660 Aucklanders about how they currently use the council’s 38 key services, and how they want the council to be in the future.

Improving functionality and user friendliness was a recurring request. We found that 75 per cent of Aucklanders want to interact with us online and this number is only going to grow.

We’ve received great feedback on the changes so far.

“It's great to be able to register and update dog details online
Very easy. Thanks.”

You can provide feedback on each page by using the ‘Is the information on this page helpful?’ option at the bottom of the page.

What’s next?

The final update will occur at the end of September before the old Auckland Council website is fully decommissioned in October.

A new Auckland Libraries website will go live  in late August.
