A new walkway connecting Titirangi and Woodlands Park is now complete.

The Little Muddy Creek Walkway goes from Grendon Road, Titirangi, through to Landing Road and Tangiwai Reserve, and along Huia Road to Woodlands Park.

“The walkway connects reserves, pockets of settlements and community hubs and provides locals and visitors with recreation opportunities,” says Waitākere Ranges Local Board member Neil Henderson.

The Waituna Action Group proposed to the local board the idea for the walkway section from Rimutaka Place to Huia Road.

The group were also involved in the volunteer planting of the riparian area alongside the walkway on the Huia Road end.

“I’d like to thank the Waituna Action Group for their ideas and work towards completing this walkway,” says Neil.

The walkway was funded by the Waitākere Ranges Local Board.
