To help celebrate this year’s Parks Week (10-18 March) we asked you to share on the ‘gram what you love about Auckland’s parks using #myaklparks.
We received over 500 entries showcasing some of the world-class landscapes, activities, biodiversity efforts and other experiences that can be enjoyed across our parks network. A big thank you to everyone who took part!
Winning a two-night stay at one of our awesome regional park baches was @artofnostalgia for sharing this photo of Tapapakanga Regional Park.
The judges (experienced park managers from Auckland Council) felt the winning photo captured the essence of Parks Week. It is a fun, vibrant and energetic moment, which highlights the many uses, values and benefits that can be enjoyed in an Auckland park.
During the week, spot prizes of two tickets to Auckland Zoo were also awarded to a selection of creative, quirky and fun photos demonstrating the diversity of our parks.
