This weekend, Waitematā Local Board and Music in Parks will bring you the annual, inner-city event Myers Park Medley.
This year’s Medley has a fantastic lineup of performances including White Chapel Jak, AKSamba, Caluzzi, 3 Ring Riot and more. Make sure you come ready to dance!
There’ll also be a variety of stalls, activities and a bunch of surprises lined up for your enjoyment and entertainment.
Waitematā Local Board member and events portfolio lead Richard Northey says community events like Myers Park Medley play a big part in contributing to communities’ wellbeing.
“Myers Park Medley, along with Parnell Festival of Roses, is one of our board’s flagship events. As well as being a whole lot of fun, these events create and connect our communities. This is something our board values immensely.”
Auckland Council Event Organiser Jyothi Murali says the Medley has been a blast to organise.
“I can’t wait for the day to unfold and I’m particularly excited about Auckland Puppy Rescue bringing adorable puppies for adoption. Oops I just gave away one of the surprises!”
Auckland Council supports zero waste. Avoid polystyrene and plastic (wrap and bags) when bringing food on site. Consider re-useable or recyclable packaging if bringing food and drink with you.
All Auckland Council sports fields, parks and reserves are smoke-free areas.
There will be very limited event mobility parking, however there is a drop-off point at the event entry. An accessible toilet will be onsite.
