Repairs at the Waiheke Community Art Gallery will not affect shows scheduled there.
The repairs are scheduled to run between May 8 and July 12.
The work is being carried out because the structure of the gallery is failing and needs renewal. Repairs will include replacement of the facade wall, the wooden ramp, wooden decking and stairs.
The gallery will still be open between 10am and 4pm, seven days a week while the work takes place.
Visitors are advised to use the Artworks Courtyard and Cinema stairway for access while the repairs are in progress.
A small sculpture prize is planned from late May to late June as are Matariki celebrations from late June to late July.
Visit the gallery's website for more information on coming shows.
