Now locals can get involved with their community radio station.
RYZ FM 106.9 broadcasts from the local Roskill Youth Zone (RYZ) and is powered by KFM and local community members just like you!
The content is a mixture of both live to air and pre-recorded interviews, radio show presentations, diverse music and local content.
Anyone who wants to learn broadcasting, podcasting, be interviewed or host a show of their own can get in touch at info@ryzfm.nz or via Facebook. Full training on the equipment is provided free of charge.
The community radio station is supported by the Puketāpapa Local Board and the Wesley Community Centre.
RYZ FM is also offering free for the community:
- An open after school programme every Tuesday from 3.30 - 5.30 for young people to go live on air under supervision
- Live to air broadcast at community events/activities
- Regular interviews with local people and organisations
- Training and set-up to do your very own radio show
