Auckland Emergency Management has issued an Emergency Mobile Alert (EMA) at 12.43 this afternoon to provide important safety messages due to the heightened risk of a landslide in Muriwai. Residents of Muriwai on Domain Crescent are advised to immediately evacuate.
Muriwai residents on DOMAIN CRESCENT should:
- Immediately evacuate.
- Make their way to the intersection of Domain Cres and Motutara Rd where emergency services will assist.
- Leave on foot, do not drive.
- Take essential items only including pets.
- Check on neighbours who may need help. If safe to do so.
- Share this information if it doesn’t cause delay.
- Call 111 if they cannot evacuate themselves.
