Take your tastebuds on a world tour (no passport needed!) at the Ōtāhuhu Food Festival - the biggest street food festival in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
This Spring, Ōtāhuhu becomes Auckland’s tastiest destination, and you do not want to miss out!
From smoky hangi, sweet Hungarian fry bread to bold Indian spices, tropical Pacific flavours, fiery Thai, rich Malaysian satays, fresh Vietnamese rolls, hearty European comfort food, sizzling Middle Eastern grills, delicious halal curries, flavour-packed vegan eats, seafood galore, and soulful African dishes to name a few…the festival is a vibrant celebration of global flavours at its finest.
Thanks to $10,000 in funding from the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board, the Ōtāhuhu Business Association (event organisers) have brought something truly special to the mainstreet.
As the driving force behind New Zealand’s biggest food festival, organiser Richette Rodger takes pride in growing the event year after year. She shares, “New Zealand’s biggest food festival isn’t in a stadium or a city centre, it’s right here in Ōtāhuhu! Special thanks to the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board. This year I’m looking forward to the famous sell-out hangi from Ride n Kai, and of course, the Hungarian fry bread - it’s always worth the wait!”
Since its grassroots beginnings in 2015 as a humble 50-stall gathering, this family-friendly event attracted more than 15,000 food lovers in 2024.
