Sobremesa, is a term that has no translation directly to English. The concept is deeply rooted in Latin American culture, creating a space for connection. It is the time you spend in deep, meaningful conversation, relaxing together, sometimes for hours, well after dessert has been served. You talk, drink, debate, laugh, and fully enjoy each other's company.
This art activation by Latin Women Artists members of Sur-Collective explores the creation of art pieces made out of cardboard and inspired by fruits, vegetables and traditional food from Latin American culture, creating a big-scale feast accompanied by a paper table cloth ready for participants to intervene with colours!!
