Join MOTAT's Tramway Project Manager and leading tram expert, James Duncan, as he takes you on a fascinating journey through the story of Auckland’s electric trams in the early 1900s.
As an expert in New Zealand’s tramway history, James will share captivating stories of the trials, triumphs, and challenges behind introducing what was once considered a revolutionary ‘space-age’ technology to New Zealand’s largest city.
Doors open at 5:45pm with the talk commencing at 6:30pm in our new science and technology centre, Te Puawānanga.
Light refreshments will be provided and a cash bar will be available on the night. Trams No's. 11 and 44, which star in the talk, will also be on display.
