Celebrate Auckland Heritage Festival with Lupe I Vao Ese | LIVE at play. An offering of activations and workshops inspired by Auckland Council Libraries Exhibition "Lupe I Vao Ese" (LIVE) open from September 17 – March 7, 2026, at Central City Library | Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero, Heritage Gallery, Level 2. Supported by the City Centre Targeted Rate.
Things to see:
- Lightboxes at Darby St & Te Komititanga open all day from Friday 12 September - Thursday 2 October. A creative take on this years Heritage Festival theme of "Auckland at Play" highlighting Tangata Moana using our Auckland Libraries Heritage Collections.
- Artboards at Eastern Viaduct, Wynyard Quarter open all day until Monday 29 September. A display on how Measina (cultural treasure) reside within the hearts, hands and memories of Pasifika peoples.
Things to do:
Pasifika makers workshops inspired by Lupe I Vao ese. All workshops will be held at Ellen Melville Centre.
