Jellicoe Park’s historic 1860 Blockhouse, rarely open to the public, will host a unique new display: Onehunga at Play!
The exhibition celebrates Onehunga’s sports clubs and connects to this year’s festival theme, the 1950 Auckland Empire Games. Visitors can explore:
- 2025 flags representing the countries that competed 75 years ago
- 20th-century sporting equipment
- Archival photographs and memories of local sports clubs and facilities
The wider archives will also be available to view. Plus Laishley House and Journey’s End Fencible Cottage will both be open.
